An art project where we had to choose a theme and make a drawing about it. (I dunno how big it looks here, but that thing is huge. It's like, three and a half feet long, methinks.) And we had to include two symbols from a Picasso painting called "The Guernica" (in case you're curious, this is it -

And so the theme I chose was human induced suffering of the animals.
I have here - various birds with their feathers falling off, signifying the little time they have left on this watery rock, I have a tiger coming out of a tiger-skin rug (I know, that one's kind of hard to tell...), and an elephant whose tusks are made out of piano keys and whose feet are severed (people buy elephant feet for good luck), the horse a Guernica symbol, and I've got a melting polar bear for obvious reasons.
In case you're wondering what those white blobs around the birds are, (and no, they aren't just feathers I was too lazy to detail), those are supposed to be a flock of doves, using the dove symbol from the Guernica.
And that is all I have to say.
This took far longer than I wanted it to.
And it's very sad about what humans do to these animals.
