First; WHY THE FUCK IS THAT COUGAR/PUMA SO HUGE? I mean seriously, I don't care if it's a big cat next to common house cats, I swear it's on steroids or something.
Second; your anatomy SUCKS, and hasn't improved at all for years. I used to look up at you! Do you even look up the skeletal structure of the things you draw, or use references at all?
Third; just, try to improve, okay? You have so many young artists that watch you, and look up to you. One day they'll look back at your art that they used to love, and think, 'did I really love her art that much?'.

I don't think you were too harsh; of course, I'm NOT Tribble's biggest fan (not since she blatantly attacked AND sicked her fans on two of my friends) so maybe that contributes to it. XD; But you were spot-on. Tribble's wolves have always looked like fucking cats to me and her grasp on anatomy is horrid. So it's good that at least SOME people can stand up to her.
I can get over the fact that her wolves look like cats, but can't get over the fact that their legs look like they are made from jelly! That's horrible, that she attacked and sicked her fans on your friends, I would of attacked her back, though. xD I think her wolves look like cats because she started drawing Warrior cats first, and never bothered to actually learn their anatomy.

Yeah, trust me, we tried...I guess the comments were buried though. Though it was very amusing when someone actually told her to shut the fuck up XD
Yeah, that makes sense. I started drawing dogs first and for awhile my cats looked VERY canine-ish...but over time I improved and actually LOOKED UP CAT ANATOMY. It's really important to learn proper species anatomy in order to make your creatures look believable, y'know?
I'd understand if this were a comment on an actual piece of art, but this is a frame in the middle of motion o.o its not meant to look good, its meant to accentuate the motion its in the middle of. I just posted it 'cause I thought it was funny.
Uhm, no. In the middle of a motion frame, anatomy and logic take a holiday in favor of movement. This drawing will be on the screen for literally 1 fifteenth of a second (15 fps framerate), and it is stretched and squished to emphasis the fact that the puma has fallen down and is sliding forward. For examples of this kind of thing in professional animation, watch a couple episodes of Freakazoid (which in my opinion is the most glorious cartoon ever) :3
That isn't to say that my anatomy doesn't generally have problems - it definitely does - and it isn't to say that I'm using this technique perfectly, but on this particular frame of animation anatomy isn't a concern because its replaced by emphasis on movement.
Anyway, critiques are fine, just please make sure you critique relevant things next time, okay?
No, but when your pets move your eyes simplify the motion, and it gets kind of blurry (thus "motion blur"), but since cartoons don't get blurry, you use other tactics. Like, a lot of times unless you have your animation chugging along at a super high frame rate (like 27 fps and the like), you need to stretch out each frame so that it looks like your character's moving, otherwise it looks superduper clunky. Annnd I'm not really willing to bring up my frame rate to in the 20's so that I can look upon each twentyseventh of a second with pride x3
And you did say you meant any artwork, and I said my anatomy's got issues. That's just how it is and I don't mind it :3
Honestly, I don't need to be the best artist ever. The only reason I still animate at all is because I promised my watchers I'd finish the show, so I will. I don't want to use art in my career, I don't want to be an animator or a concept artist or anything remotely like that. What I'm doing with my life is writing, so if you're sincerely looking to help me better myself at things I genuinely want to improve on, please critique my written work. (I'd love you forever. No one ever does that. )
I'm not really certain why some people seem offended by the existence of imperfect art and won't take that as an answer, but to each his own
I'm really sorry for the long response, I don't want to fight with you D: I'm just trying to justify my case. If I'm tempted to go into another rant, I'll keep it to myself and stop wasting your time. Cross my heart.
I get that, the whole reason I haven't attempted doing an animation was because of trying to keep it smooth, and making the frames fit in together.
I thought because of the amount of art you've done, you wanted some sort of career in it. Ah, that makes a lot more sense, to know you want to be a writer, and I think that's great (I absolutely LOVE reading)! I would critique your written work, but I'm no writer, so can't really help there, sorry!
I'm not offended by your art, I just thought you had, I don't know, more of a passion towards it?
Hope I didn't sound like a complete douche before, and I honestly don't mind long responses, means I have to think a bit more. c: Also, if you want to rant about anything, go ahead, I like trying to help people out (probably didn't sound like that from my first comment though!).
Yeah man, you seem like a bit of a perfectionist so I can only imagine what animating would be like for you! People who love to get everything right all the time end off with absolutely gorgeous stuff, but actually going through and doing all that work must drive you nuts! xP
Nopenopenope. :3 I just have busy hands, as it were. Doodling is what I do for fun, but when shit gets serious, writing's where its at. I've never gotten below a 90% on a creative writing assignment, the same can't exactly be said of art Well, I don't want to be a full time book-author - I'm actually going to school for screenwriting! So I'd be writing television shows and movies if all goes well ^^
Anyway, if you really love reading, you could make just as good a critique-er as anyone who writes themselves! Readers are the ones who its for in the end, so their opinion is more important than other writers in the long run anyway :3 If you're ever super bored I can send you a link to a couple of things I'd like a second pair of eyes on
Nah, my passion's for storytelling. Animating is a means to an end.
Hey, no worries, dude ^^ I hope I didn't sound like a bitch to you! The internet's weird like that - sometimes its easy forget we're talking to real people on the other end. Some days my manners escape me, so I apologize.
So this response was probably actually longer than the first one, but hey dude, you signed your own death warrant on that one. You're the one who said long responses were alright. xP Its on you.
